We love cars and we love to see the smile on peoples' faces when we fix their car. These people can say they are "Under the influence of Au†o Angels". You can be too!  More stories>

Beginnings

In the early 2000, a few men conceived a vision for an organization to address transportation needs in the congregation at First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue. These enthusiasts who shared a common love of cars and things mechanical became the founding members of the Au†o Angels ministry.

Then in 2004, KidREACH leaders approached the church for help on behalf of many families who were having difficulty getting their children to tutoring classes and the ministry was born.

Founding members and other volunteer leaders adopted a mission statement, received a grant for the start up from the First Presbyterian Foundation, and the church provided space in the garage to complete the launch of a successful dream.

In 2005 Saturday car clinics were established to offer affordable repairs, maintenance of church owned vehicles, and help to Church and those connected to our Dave manages Saturday clinic work schedule Mission Outreach whose vehicles needed attention or had no vehicle at all.

The group of Christian men has grown and the ministry has expanded and continues to offer services in the name of Christ. A cross replaced the letter “t” in auto in the logo to stress that every effort is Christ centered. Christ’s sacrifice for the world is overlooked by most of the world similar to the way the cross in the logo is missed until you take a closer look.

From our beginning in 2005 through 2008, Au†o Angels has received over 130 donated vehicles that have been inspected, repaired and transferred to deserving members of the community. Won't you help with your old car or van?

Changing Lives

The Au†o Angels Mission wants to help people in a tangible way— and impact their lives in a positive manner and not just change their immediate situation.

The Au†o Angels Ministry:
  • Brings people together that share a common passion and love of cars (and all things mechanical).
  • Provides a service to our community to people that can’t afford the high costs of transportation or repairs their vehicles may need.
  • Works on peoples' cars or donated cars most every Saturday. Without donated vehicles, it would not be possible to help many people in need. Through an organization called the Congregation for the Homeless, AA can provide ‘reconditioned’ donated vehicles that will help people get back on their feet.Auto Angels Rock!
  • Gives an opportunity for a group of men (that otherwise may not have felt a part of a large church congregation) find a ministry they can plug into that not only helps people, but helps each other by being together.
  • Provides an opportunity to touch into what men love, we can find a way to make it a ministry for Christ. Many members feel they get back every bit that they put into the ministry...maybe more.
