Community Center

Welcome to the Community Center at First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue. It is our hope that you will find the athletic opportunities here that you have been looking for. As you will see, we offer an array of athletic activities here at the church for people of all ages and recreational interest. In fact, this is a place where there is always a lot going on, and getting your physical body exercised is only the beginning. We hope that you will find FPCB to meet more than just your exercise needs, and that you will consider joining us for Worship on Sunday mornings or evenings. Men's Basketball - age 18+

Think you're Michael Jordan, but really you're John Doe? Come work on your basketball skills in a friendly, yet competitive environment. From 6:30-8:00 on Tuesday evenings we play basketball geared for those who are over the age of 35. Then at 8:00 we open it up to anyone who is 18 and over. On Saturday mornings we play a more relaxed game from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Either way, you're in for a fun time of fellowship, exercise, and basketball. Come experience church in a new way, and bring a friend! Please wear non-marking shoes.

Badminton - all ages

Badminton offers a great fellowship experience, hand-eye coordination challenge, and opportunity for teamwork. Tips and coaching will be available from area badminton experts if you want to improve your skills. Parents with kids have priority the first 45 minutes, and then we open the courts up to everyone. Skill levels vary widely-from former junior national champions to beginners, but it all works smoothly on our three courts. Bring a friend and your non-marking shoes. Mix-it-up Aerobics

This class provides a real cardio workout using boxing, martial arts movements, beginner step aerobic moves, the pilates ball, weights as well as some floor work. Come try this class out and get ready to mix it up! It is taught by a certified instructor. Liz brings her enthusiastic expertise to make this a fun and exciting class. Childcare is provided. Indoor Soccer - All Ages

Indoor Soccer is a great chance to keep up your soccer skills as well as great exercise even when the weather is not cooperating. This time is open to anyone and everyone: women, men, beginners and novices are all welcome. There is no commitment necessary, just come when you can and be ready to have a good time. Please wear non-marking shoes.

Volleyball - age 18+

Get ready to bump, set, spike, or at least attempt to! Come play volleyball in a church community where we support one another in friendly competition. This is a great encouraging night of volleyball where we try to help each other improve our skills and better understand the game, without being too legalistic. Whether you've rarely played, or tried out for the US Olympic Team, we can accommodate you on our two courts. This is a great opportunity to stay in shape and meet new people. Please wear non-marking shoes.

Morning Yoga All Ages

Cancelled until further notice.

These classes will be in held in 6-week sessions. Please check for dates of the session on the online calendar, drop-ins are welcome anytime during a session. The classes will help increase stamina, strength, flexibility, endurance, and overall health. Beginning classes require no previous experience; all fitness levels welcome. Students are encouraged to come on an empty stomach. Wear shorts and a t-shirt, leotard and footless tights, or other exercise clothes that allow for your knees to be visible. Instructor Elizabeth Shilling, M.A., L.M.P. has practiced yoga for 10 years and has taught since 2002. Call Terry Arthur for childcare reservations, (425) 454-3082.

Prayerful Pilates All Ages

We are excited to announce the addition of a morning pilates class.

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on strengthening the body's core (deep abdominal, low back and breathing muscles). Just as life can obstruct our spiritual walk, our bodies can overpower our deep structural muscles. These structural muscles will shut down and wait to be re-awakened in order to properly function. Without engaging our core strength we end up with back pain, sagging tummies and other less pleasant side effects. Without prayer we end up with pain, flagging spirits and other less pleasant side effects. Prayerful Pilates will combine strengthening your inner physical core with prayer for a well rounded strengthening of our inner being! If you are in "chauffeur mode" at church, just waiting, how efficient could this be?! Come join us. Cost: $10.00 per session or $110.00 for all 12 sessions.
