Dr. Scott Dudley, FPCB senior pastor, asks us this question and encourages us to open ourselves to new beginnings - to be changed from the inside out by our God who loves us passionately, completely, unreservedly. "Bored people can find adventure. Angry people can become compassionate. Unhappy people can find lasting joy."
If you've ever tried to change yourself, you know that this is a difficult project. So how can we change? We can tap into the power of the Holy Spirit through a process we call the 4 Hs. As we experience God through our head, heart, hands, and habits, we experience a new energy in our spiritual life and undergo the transformation that Jesus - and only Jesus - makes possible.
With our Head - our mind - we seek to know and understand God
With our Heart, we experience God's love and share it with others.
With our Hands, we serve those in need, experiencing Jesus' empowering presence and sharing his love in the process.
With our Habits, we spend time with God in ways that help us grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus.
