Bible Studies

First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue is committed to studying God's Word. We do this in a number of ways. One way is through our Small Groups Ministry (click the Small Groups link at the right for more information). Another way is through the Bible Studies listed below. These Bible Studies welcome new people at any time:

Women's Bible Studies

Monday Night Women’s Bible Study

When: Mondays, 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Details: Women of all ages and Bible knowledge are invited to join this welcoming group in a year-long study and discussion of Beth Moore's Jesus the One and Only, led by Anika Stott. This group meets Sept 10, 1007 through June 16, 2008 excluding Dec 17, 24, 31, Jan 21, Feb 18, Mar 24, and May 26.

Women At The Well

When: Tuesdays, 9:30-11:00 a.m.

Details: Susan Burbank and Christina Dudley are co-teaching on The Gospel According to Luke. Every week there is Bible study, followed by small group discussion. Occasionally, we host the Eastside Academy students and staff for brunch and fellowship, in addition to other opportunities to serve and care for them. Child care is available only with advance reservations by contacting Tara Martenson, tmartenson@fpcbellevue.org. This group meets September 11, 2007 through May 20, 2008, exluding Dec 25, Jan 1, Feb 19, and Apr 8.

Women’s Circles

Women’s Circles are a great place for ladies to get acquainted, have fellowship in a small group setting, share prayer requests, support a mission project, and study the Bible in a relaxed atmosphere. No advance registration is required. Contact Sandi Coleman at (425) 453-8817 for information. Most circles meet montly, September through May. The study for the year is First and Second Peter and Jude.

Men's Bible Studies

Saturday Morning Men’s Bible Study

When: Saturdays, 7:30-9:00 a.m.

Details: All men are invited to a continental breakfast ($1 suggested donation), followed by an in-depth discussion of the Bible’s relevance to men in all stages of their faith walk. Just bring your own Bible. This group meets September through June.

Retired Men’s Bible Study

When: Tuesdays, 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Details: The weekly topic is the previous Sunday’s sermon, using the discussion questions found in the Sunday bulletins. All men of retirement age are welcome to attend. This group meets year-round.

Working Men’s Fellowship

Mixed Bible Studies

Senior Adult Bible Study

When: Wednesdays, 10:00-11:30 a.m.

Details: The study is focusing on the foundation of the church in the book of Acts. All seniors are encouraged to join in. This group meets from September through May.

Advanced Bible Study

When: Tuesdays, 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Details: This Bible study for men and women will continue studying the book, Acts: An Expositional Commentary, by James Montgomery Boice. Newcomers are welcome. This group meets September-April but will not be meeting November 20, December 25, or January 1 because of the holidays.
